Agreed to buy house, seller didn't send paperwork?

I found a house, submitted an offer, the bank (seller) countered, and I verbally accepted right before the holiday. The seller agent said they would send over the final paperwork to sign and would mark the home as ';pending'; in the listing. However, I haven't received any paperwork, the listing is still active, and now the seller is not returning my calls. What should I do?Agreed to buy house, seller didn't send paperwork?
When you say you verbally accepted right before the holiday, do you mean late on Wednesday afternoon?

If so, please be aware that most lenders were closed until today (Monday after Thanksgiving). And may have had an early morning meeting that lasted until noon.

I suggest you send an email to the listing agent and request a ';Read'; receipt. Ask for information about when to expect the paperwork.

I take it you do not have an agent representing you in this transaction, correct? If you do, send the email to your agent requesting a ';Read'; receipt.

I would be surprised that your offer would have been trumped by another incoming offer. Even if it was better than yours, the usual strategy is to pit all bidders against each other to get the highest offer possible.

Good luck.Agreed to buy house, seller didn't send paperwork?
Doesn't sound promising, not going to lie. If you don't have the signed offer in writing then you're not in escrow.

They sign your offer, then send it back to you to sign and acknowledge that they are accepting your offer. So if they don't send that to you then I'd find out what's really going on.
Try to contact the seller's agent and ask him if the paperwork was sent or will be sent to you. If not, than you don't have a deal.
they may have received a better offer and rejected yours with out another counter
Continue looking. Move on
