Where can I buy house trained cats?

I need a reliable breeder, and it would be best if the cat is not too old.Where can I buy house trained cats?

If you get a kitten that has not been taken away from it's mother too young (ie 8-10 weeks minimum, preferably a bit older) then it will be house trained (by which I assume you mean litter box trained?). Cats are instinctively attracted to toilet in an area where they can dig and cover up. This combined with their mother showing them what to do, means that most kittens take to using a litter box very easily. Cats can go on to develop litter box problems later, but that is always due to a reason eg health problems, litter box too dirty, stress etc.

Where you get a cat from depends on whether you want a mixed breed cat or a pure bred. If you want the former, the best place to go is to a rescue or shelter. If you want a pure bred cat then you need to do some research to work out what breed you want (consider temperament and grooming needs as well as looks) and make sure you find a reputable breeder. Pure bred kittens should not be homed until they are 12-13 weeks old and should be fully registered with papers.
Why would you buy a cat when there are so many cats who need loving homes in shelters. It is not difficult to train a cat at all,

Go to your local spca.
If you go to your local SPCA some of the cats will already be house trained.
Probably have to train them yourself. I have 6 cats. I trained all of them (i'm only 13, too).
A shelter or a breeder.
You have to train them yourself silly!

=D
A:train the youselves if you want a young cat.

B: Look in the local paper for pet ads

Good Luck! :)
lolllooolol I can tell ur a city slicker! if you get a kitten, show him were the litterbox is,make sure its in one spot for awhile, don't move it around.put kitty in it to show him were to go. if he has an oops, 1 time, pick up poop %26amp; put it in litterbox. he will understand. if you get 1 from humane sociaty, look at their box %26amp; see if it covers up poop. some cats are just to lazy.
I would seriously try to stay away from breeders that you don't know anything about. They can relaly abuse the animals or make them breed and that is their life.. Oftentimes those animals end up in the petshops, too.

You may want to post on here or craigslist.org to find a reliable breeder. When you do find one, ask to see their facilities. That is the best indicator. If there are lots and lots of animals running around or caged up, you don't want their animals- in fact, you want to report them. That is cruelty to animals.

Try the SPCA/pound and find out if they are trained. Most of the time they are because they have to be locked up in the cages at the pound, anyway.

You can find kittens, teens and older cats there, too.

Training kittens is actually quite easy. You just rub their bottoms with tp or something soft to stimulate their relflexes, allowing their bladder to release (thats how the moms do it when they are babies, but the moms eat it...). When you do this, put them in the cat box and when they let it go, help them cover it with their paws. The sounds of the scraping litter will eventually entice them to go in the box (like running water for us).

Anyway, research the heck of breeders. Sometimes local veterinary clinics have referrals for breeders, and sometimes they have a poster board of people trying to sell their pets. I would start at the reliable sources, first.

Good luck!
You can go to an animal shelter or the pound and get pets that have lived in a house, sometimes you can find them younger than most but other times it is harder but if you search the internet you should be able to find some places by your hometown where they are house trained.
